Refund Policy

Please note that this section contains both

  1. Returns Policy
  2. Warranty Policy

Kindly note that these two policies are different. Also, the terms and conditions of purchase applies to our refunds policy. If in doubt, kindly contact us.

A) Returns Policy Of TechGarage

Our policy lasts 7 days. If 7 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange. For warranty, kindly refer to the warranty policy section below.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused, unopened and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. Returns are subject to approval. Upon approval, a 25% restocking fee of the original price or RM 30, whichever higher is charged.

Buyer will take full responsibility of the product damage/lost of the during the return shipping, thus is advised to use insured courier shipping (PosLaju, Citylink, Fedex, DHL, etc.). Buyer must ship and return the product to TechGarage within 7 days after receiving the return confirmation.

Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food, flowers, newspapers or magazines cannot be returned. We also do not accept products that are intimate or sanitary goods, hazardous materials, or flammable liquids or gases.

Additional non-returnable items:

  • Gift cards
  • Downloadable software products
  • Some health and personal care items

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase. Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted, if applicable, depending on our discretion. Items opened can be rejected.

  1. Book with obvious signs of use
  2. CD, DVD, VHS tape, software, video game, cassette tape, or vinyl record that has been opened.
  3. Any item not in its original condition
  4. Any item that is returned more than 7 days after delivery

Refunds (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Gifts
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he will find out about your return.

Shipping
To return your product, you should mail your product to: Suite 2C, Tingkat 2, Wisma Pahlawan, Jalan Sultan Sulaiman Kuala Lumpur Wilayah Persekutuan Malaysia 50000.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund. Failure to pay for shipping costs within 14 days of notification will result in the item being abandoned and no longer returned.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

If you are shipping an item over RM 200, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

B) Warranty Policy Of TechGarage

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. Please request for warranty from your account console and upon approval, send your item to: Suite 2C, Tingkat 2, Wisma Pahlawan, Jalan Sultan Sulaiman Kuala Lumpur Wilayah Persekutuan Malaysia 50000.

Please note that the following applies:

  1. Your requests will be forwarded to the official distributor or the manufacturer for evaluation
  2. All items sold by TechGarage Enterprise (hence known here as TechGarage or TechGarage.my) are warranted solely by the manufacturer/distributor.
  3. You are responsible to present your details and proof of the item damaged or defective to the manufacturer/distributor.
  4. You might be asked to present photos and videos to proof the fault lies with the manufacturer/distributor. Failure to do so within a reasonable period of request (14 days), will result in the claim being rejected.
  5. If the damage is not due to a manufacturer defect, the manufacturer/distributor has every right to reject your claim.
  6. TechGarage is not liable for the response of the manufacturer/distributor.
  7. TechGarage is not liable if the manufacturer/distributor fails to perform warranty service.
  8. If the manufacturer/distributor decides that you will need to pay a certain amount for workmanship or for a replacement product, you will need to pay the amount within 7 days of notification or forfeit your claim.
  9. Spare parts for your damaged products is dependent on your manufacturer/distributor. TechGarage will not be responsible to repair your products that you have damaged nor ensure availability of spare parts.
  10. TechGarage will not be responsible for any consequential or incidental damage resulting from the sale or use of any merchandise purchased from us. TechGarage’s liability is limited to the monetary value of the merchandise.
  11. Upon approval or request from the manufacturer/distributor, you will be required to ship your item back to TechGarage or the distributor/manufacturer. The cost of shipping back the faulty and/or defective product is on you.
  12. You are responsible to ensure your item arrives in good condition. TechGarage will not be responsible if your item is lost or damaged during the return. As such, kindly ensure your package is insured.
  13. When you purchase an item and select a courier company, if  your item is damaged during transit and not a manufacturer’s defect, your claim is limited to whichever amount Pos Laju, City Link or the carrier of choice is used. As such, you might prefer to purchase insurance to ensure your item arrives safely.
  14. Upon approval of warranty and arrival of the warrantied item, you will be required to ship your faulty item over within 7 days and collect the replacement unit within 30 days. Failure to do so will result in the item being forfeited.
